LCRA’s Research & Development team were proud to recently host a visit from highly decorated American engineer Dean Kamen. Kamen, best known for inventing the Segway, is the founder of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). The program aims to inspire students to become involved in engineering, science, & technology.
The FIRST Robotics Competition held each year is said to be the ‘invention’ Kamen is most proud of. Kamen continues to be an inspiration and we thank him for his visit.
